Something could be said for the teams confidence. If Kershaw is taken off the roster it instantly deflates the morale of the team. I am thinking that Roberts and staff think if Kershaw can pitch at all, it’s better than the next man up.

Also replacing him makes him ineligible for the WS if it's a next week, not this week deal

Another pen game? By winning games 1 and 2 I think that has bought us the ability to run Fried and Anderson out there in a game 6 and 7 on full rest if it comes to it.
