It's OVER 5,000!
Eric Thames looks like a great pick-up for the Brewers, too bad we didn't go for him as he can play OF along with 1B. He looks like a legit power hitter with good patience now.
To me Thames was a no-brainer low risk high reward option. Still think he will be exposed more as the book gets out on him.
Jason Castro returning to his normal putrid offensive production. Glad we have Flowers instead.
Remember some being upset we didn't take a flyer on Latos:
Blue Jays designated RHP Mat Latos for assignment.
Latos put up a 6.60 ERA in three unsuccessful starts for the Jays. He'll clear waivers but will almost surely elect free agency. Latos is still just 29 but it's been a few years since he's had any real success in the majors.

Did anybody ever even mention him as a possibility?
Actually you got that reversed. He's had 3 bad games in a row. The previous 7 games he was beasting. That being said I expect him to be 80-90 WRC+ hitter with good defense. Castro is an average catcher. I wouldn't have spent what the Twins did on him.
Hindsight is 20/20, but I'd rather have Castro than Suzuki or Colon. I liked the Colon signing at the time, but it did seem like him, Dickey, and Garcia were a bit overkill considering our minor league pitching depth.
Let it be known that Enscheff approved of the Colon signing and wanted Castro... but he's never wrong...
This is what he had to say about the original Olivera trade: "I don't think this was a good trade, but it was far from the disaster the chicken littles around here are making it out to be."
Haha you guys are trying so hard. Adorable.
You can't seriously fault people who go back and pull up things you said, when you constantly do that with other posters.

That's different though, somehow
