Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

I'm more interested in accountability for failure than I am anything at this point.

Also I'm fine with killing the federal red state programs California helps fund

They can keep that money for their houses

Mqts of the world aren’t interested in accountability because they see no fault in the job California has done or how much they’ve gamed the election system.

Turtle doing pathetic establishment gop things.

It’s still not going to be easy for Trump to get things done that will last because republicans will fight him just as much as democrats. It’d key to ensure that Vance and RDS win so that obvious EOs that should be laws remain in place. Then you can start picking off these losers republicans in Congress so that actual loading change can be done.

I work in software sales that delivers certain training modules. Today, we had major government contractors reach out saying we must remove DEI training content from our catalog for them to be compliant with recent EO.

While my company employees are literally crying about the change, I'm laughing my ass off and demanding our product team expedite by the end of the weekend to ensure compliance

Don't worry, MQT.... we don't expect more than 50,000 people dying from being deprived of this important training!

We will closely monitor...

More deaths from illegal immigrants

Or

More deaths from being denied DEI training.

I expect a close race!

I’m not asking you to think I’m right about things, but do you just like not you not read my posts? I’ve expressed where I stand on DEI initiatives. I think some initiatives are good and that most are either misguided or really just recruiting/retention/PR tactics. I don’t think people will die if there’s not DEI training at SturgCo and I don’t think SturgCo is the type of company where one must have any sort of program because it seems like most of the people are already on board with the value of diversity.

I do think the government *restricting* DEI training from private companies to be considered for federal contracts is an overreach just as you would think *requiring* DEI training to be considered is an overreach. If SturgCo’s employees are so invested in the programs that they’re genuinely upset, I don’t see it as a win that the government would require them to remove the program. Less engaged workforces produce less effective results, and it sounds like making this decision had an effect on your company’s engagement. Maybe just let companies have DEI programs so long as they don’t have illicit quota but don’t require them? Like some sort limited government or something.

Edited to add: I misread the ask from the government, but it’s essentially the same concept. Let progressive software companies from California have their training modules, just don’t ****ing use them if you don’t want them.

You guys are such ****ing weirdos, man.

Oh my ****, I missed that he wrote the text to explicitly exclude Obama from running:

‘‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’’

I really hope in history classes one day they capture the way elected Republicans toil for Trump’s approval for how sad it is.

I think it would be really easy for one to make an argument Trumps first term was stolen from the people via endless lies that the liars knew were lies.

Either way, after Trump does an incredible job and actually helps AMERICANS - The people will clamor for MORE MORE MORE.
